At Fountain of Life Family Chiropractic, that starts with listening to what’s bothering you and taking the time to determine whether chiropractic care makes sense for your needs.

Our Kansas City chiropractors’ goal is to help however we can. If we find that our office isn’t the right place for your concern, we’ll tell you and help point you in the right direction. That’s part of the straightforward, no-pressure approach we want every patient to experience.

Meet Your Chiropractors

Dr. Joe Knudson

A 2003 Doctor of Chiropractic graduate of Cleveland University, Dr. Joe Knudson brings a hands-on, personalized approach to each visit. His own experience with a sports injury helped shape his interest in chiropractic and the body's ability to recover without immediately turning to more invasive options.

Today, he focuses on listening first, adapting techniques to the individual, and giving patients straightforward recommendations without high-pressure treatment plans.

Dr. Kurtis Mlinar

Before becoming a chiropractor, Dr. Kurtis Mlinar worked in physically demanding jobs, including concrete work and ranching. That experience gave him a firsthand understanding of how work, activity, and everyday strain can affect the body.

He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Cleveland University in 2019 and now brings a practical, problem-solving approach to patient care. His recommendations may include chiropractic care along with at-home strategies patients can use between visits.

A Personalized Approach to Chiropractic

Depending on your needs, your visits may include:

Diversified Technique:
Hands-on chiropractic adjustments adapted to the individual

Activator Methods®:
Instrument-assisted adjusting using a small handheld device

Soft Tissue Therapy:
Hands-on work for muscles and surrounding soft tissues

Instrument-Assisted Adjusting:
A lighter-force option that may be used with children or patients who prefer a gentler approach

Other services may also be recommended when appropriate as part of your individualized plan.

Chiropractic for Different Stages of Life

Our patients range from children and expecting mothers to athletes and adults who simply want to stay active and comfortable.

For younger patients, we use lighter techniques and take time to help them become familiar with what will happen. During pregnancy, drop tables and pregnancy pillows can make positioning more comfortable. Athletes may also incorporate chiropractic care and red light therapy into their approach to training, soreness, and recovery.

Whoever is on the table, the philosophy stays the same: listen first, adapt the approach, and make recommendations based on the person in front of us.
